Granfondo Squali Trek 2024

The Gran Fondo degli Squali is back! We are waiting for you in Cattolica and Gabicce Mare on 10-11-12 May 2024

Two routes to choose from, choose the one best suited to you and test yourself!

Departure at 7.30am from the splendid setting of the Cattolica Aquarium in Corso Italia
Arrival in Gabicce Monte on the "balcony of the Adriatic"

Long route: 128 km, height difference of 2,020 m, maximum gradient 14%.

Departure from the Cattolica Aquarium followed by 10 km of flat terrain towards Gradara and then the first 3 km climb towards Pievevecchia. Continue up to Santa Maria del Monte and after a descent at the crossroads you go right, thus choosing the long route.

You arrive at the first challenging climb, that of Monte Altavellio with a gradient of 7-8%. The first refreshment point is also located here (we are around km 57).

You continue with a descent and pass the villages of Auditore and Casinina, which are followed by a slight descent after 10 km. You then arrive at the San Giorgio climb which leads to Mondaino. Continue towards Tavullia, where the second refreshment point is located, until you reach the Panoramica del San Bartolo, then crossing Fiorenzuola and skirting Casteldimezzo.

Last 15 km and you arrive at the final mega refreshment point in Gabicce Monte.

Average route: 85 km, height difference of 1,393 m, maximum gradient 8%.

The departure is always from the Cattolica Aquarium and the route up to Santa Maria del Monte is the same. At the crossroads at the end of the descent, however, you choose the left and thus the medium route. After a couple of km you arrive at the most important climb of this route, that of Saludecio-Mondaino, 9 km long and with a gradient of 8%. You go down and continue towards Tavullia and then towards the Panoramica of San Bartolo. The last stretch of the race is the same as the long route and the arrival is also always at the final mega refreshment point in Gabicce Monte.
