On Friday 4 and Saturday 5 October, on the occasion of the 27th Riccione TTV Festival, the Spazio Tondelli hosts a double appointment with Marco D'Agostin , recent winner of the special Riccione Prize for dramaturgical innovation. On Friday evening, D'Agostin will present one of his most successful shows, Best regards , while the following morning he will tell the public his idea of ​​theatre.

Who is Marco D'Agostin?
Born in 1987, D'Agostin already has two Ubu Awards to his credit, won in 2018 as best performer under 35 and in 2023 for the dance show Gli anni . The special Riccione Prize for dramaturgical innovation is awarded out of competition to a personality capable of opening new perspectives to the world of theater - it was awarded for the ability to ''think rigorously about the dialectic between dramaturgy and gesture, showing notable sensitivity for the textual dimension''. As the critics Lorenzo Donati, Roberta Ferraresi, Maddalena Giovannelli, Rossella Menna, Andrea Pocosgnich and Francesca Saturnino wrote in the motivation, ''D'Agostin weaves complete and articulated dramaturgy, combining research on the body with the material concreteness of the document (letters, objects , videos, photographs).

His creative act always starts from an intimate confrontation with writings, literary works, authors, which become foundations on which to build original compositional architectures , never subordinate to the model. D'Agostin therefore continually innovates the stage form, deconstructing and undermining the boundaries that are still too solid in Italy between theater and dance.

One year later, the Riccione TTV Festival dedicates a focus to D'Agostin and invites him to tell the public his idea of ​​theatre .
